Dr. Craft was born and raised in Junction City, Kansas having graduated from Junction City High School in 1988. After a year of college golf, Dr. Craft transferred to Kansas State University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. From there, Dr. Craft attended Creighton University, School of Dentistry, graduating in 1999. Upon graduation, Dr. Craft, his wife Jennifer, and their one year old daughter Grace moved back to Junction City to open Craft Dentistry.
Craft Dentistry had 19 excellent years serving the Junction City area. In June of 2018, Craft Dentistry will move the west side of Manhattan, Kansas in the Colbert Hills addition on Vanesta Drive. We look forward to serving our Junction City patients along with our Manhattan patients in this location. Our office will be smaller but modern dedicated to excellent dental care and time with each patient.
Besides private practice, Dr. Craft enjoys playing competitive golf, going to dinner and movies with his wife Jennifer, and watching his children in sporting and musical events. Dr. Craft is a past board member and board chair of Manhattan Area Technical College. He is a current instructor in Pharmacology and Nitrous Oxide Conscious Sedation for MATC, School of Dental Hygiene. Dr. Craft is a member of The First Tee Board of Directors of Manhattan and member of The Friends of Rolling Meadows, a 501c3 Foundation.
Jennifer was born and raised in Sterling, Illinois. She attended Kansas State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology and Microbiology in 1993. She received a Masters in Human Genetics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1999. Jennifer has been the office manager at Craft Dentistry since her and David opened the practice. She is in charge of payroll and office administrative operations.
Jennifer is also a REALTOR for RE/MAX Signature Properties and a busy mother of 4. In her spare time she enjoys attending her children's events, reading and spending time at the lake.
Leticia brings to our practice an array of experience. She has been in dentistry for 25 years, 20 of them as a dental assiatant and the past 5 years as an administrative assistant. Leticia's main focus is assisting the patients to make their experience friendly and inviting, to ensure consistent and patient-friendly scheduling and billing, as well as overseeing all insurance aspects of the practice.
Leticia was born and raised in California but has been in this area since 1989. She is the proud mother of 2 grown children that still keep her on her toes. Other interests that she enjoys are walking, reading and teaching pre-school Sunday school at her church.
Ariel was raised in Junction City, KS and graduated from Junction City High School in 2011. She received her Certification of Dental Assisting from Salina Area Technical College in 2014. Ariel joined our team at Craft Dentistry in 2015. Ariel works very hard and treats each patient with kindness and respect.
Ariel married her sweetheart, AJ, in 2013. They have two kids: a Yorkie mix named Snickers and a German Shorthair Pointer named Dodger. Ariel's hobbies include cooking, baking, watching movies and taking her dogs on walks.
Jessica Rutz (Keazer)
Jessica is one of the hygienists at Craft Dentistry. She has been part of the team since June of 2015. She graduated from Flint Hills Technical College in May 2013 with her associates degree in Dental Hygiene. Dental hygiene is something she is very passionate about, as well as the oral health of each patient.
When Jessica isn’t at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and baby girl who joined the family in December of 2017. Some of her other hobbies include: baking, shopping and watching Netflix.
Rachel is excited to be a new member of the Craft Dentistry team! Rachel joined Craft Dentistry in August 2018 after moving back to her hometown of Manhattan. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Manhattan Area Technical College with an Associates in Dental Hygiene. Rachel enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them to improve their oral health. Rachel is engaged to be married in October 2019 to her fiancé Lucas. In their free time, they enjoy fishing, going to concerts, and watching K-State sports.
