Dr. David Craft
Dentist in Manhattan, KS
Hi, I’m Dr. Craft! I’m a general dentist in Manhattan, KS serving Manhattan, Junction City, and the surrounding communities. I graduated from Kansas State University in 1995 and from Creighton University, School of Dentistry in 1999. I’ve been in private practice for 20 years. I truly enjoy helping patients to better their oral health no matter how little (or big) the need may be. Our office is smaller, dedicated to excellence, and strives to give each patient time and attention like yesteryear, but in a modern setting.
Besides private practice, I enjoy teaching. Currently, I teach Pharmacology at MATC to second-year hygiene students and Nitrous Oxide – Oxygen Sedation to first-year hygiene students. I was past President of the Board of Directors for MATC.
I’m married to Jennifer, a MHK realtor with Prestige Realty. We have four children. Our hobbies include going out for dinner, movies, golf and watching our children play sports. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your interests!
Jennifer was born and raised in Sterling, Illinois. She attended Kansas State University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology and Microbiology in 1993. She received a Masters in Human Genetics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1999. Jennifer has been the office manager at Craft Dentistry since her and David opened the practice. She is in charge of payroll and office administrative operations.
Jennifer is also a REALTOR for RE/MAX Signature Properties and a busy mother of 4. In her spare time she enjoys attending her children's events, reading and spending time at the lake.
Hi, I’m Leticia, the Office Manager for Craft Dentistry. I’ve been in the dental field for 28 years (19 at Craft Dentistry) and loved every minute of it! My passion comes from helping our patients understand procedures, their insurance benefits, scheduling in ways that make life easy, and just ensuring a pleasant and friendly experience. My job can be hectic but that makes it fun. One area of our practice I take great pride in is helping our patients understand their insurance benefits. The world of insurance can be confusing. At our office, we go the extra mile to help the patient in this area. I’m always glad to help review plans, submit, and manage claims regardless of networks.
I’m a California native but have lived in Kansas for many years and call it home. My spouse, Brian, is a teacher. We have two grown married children starting their lives and I’m now lucky enough to be called grandma! I love spending time reading, and walking my puppy, Lulu. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your dental care experience!
Hi, I’m Ariel, a graduate of Salina Area Technical College in dental assisting. I’ve been in dentistry for 5 years, 3 of those with Craft Dentistry. My interest in dental assisting came from my Aunt and her love of the job. Lucky enough, my high school offered a great internship program allowing me to see the dental field first hand. It was then I knew this was the profession for me. My favorite thing about assisting is seeing the patient’s reaction to their work once we finish a case! It’s a great feeling to make someone happy and love their smile again!
I’m originally from Texas and came to Ft. Riley when my dad received his orders for a new duty station. My dad has since retired from active duty. Our family loved Kansas so much, we made it our permanent home. My husband and I love to cook, hunt, fish, and binge watch Netflix in our spare time. We have two dogs, Snickers and Dodger.
Jessica Rutz (Keazer)
My name is Jessica! I have been a dental hygienist since 2013, and with Craft Dentistry since 2015. Not many people can say they truly love their job, but I am fortunate enough to love mine. I don’t just clean teeth. I find joy in helping others achieve a healthy mouth, as the mouth really is the gateway to the entire body. It is an amazing feeling talking to patients who have improved their home care, because of something I recommended, and hearing how much better they are feeling or how excited they get to see their “numbers” improve. I don’t just invest in my patients professionally, I care about the person in my chair. One of my favorite parts as a hygienist is getting to know the person behind the teeth.
I have been married to my husband, Austin, since November 2016. We welcomed our daughter, Charlotte, to our family December 2017! As if life wasn’t busy enough, we added a puppy to our lives August 2018! We have small amounts of downtime, but our hearts sure are full!
