Root Canals

At Craft Dentistry we perform root canals to save teeth that have advanced decay, cracks, fractures, and other complications that cause the nerve in the tooth to go bad.  Root canals get a bad rap from years gone past.  Patients associate root canals with pain.  In modern dentistry, performing a root canal has changed considerably!  Today we use modern techniques to keep you comfortable.  The procedure is much faster than in years past with rotary instruments.

Root canals are very successful when the tooth is treated prior to severe infection setting in.   A properly performed root canal is still a very good option for saving your natural teeth.  In cases where the infection is advanced or the tooth isn't a good candidate for a root canal, we will discuss extraction and other options for replacement.

At Craft Dentistry, we evaluate each situation for the best outcome.  Root canals are still part of the overall equation in saving teeth and can be a very good treatment option!  We look forward to discussing treatment options with you at your new patient exam.
